What’s Cooking

Welcome to the Lara Zelman Marketing kitchen! Inspired by the great cooks in my family, great meals out, and my travels, I love to experiment in the kitchen and cook up new ideas. My ingredient list is usually filled with local, seasonal goodies picked up from the farmers markets and amazing food entrepreneurs. I love to take inspiration from cookbooks, restaurants, and friends and family and get creative. I challenge myself to use local ingredients and try out new-to-me techniques, recipes, and ingredients. You’ll find some of my favorites here.

I love to talk food as much as I like to talk marketing. As part of my Master of Liberal Arts degree in Gastronomy from Boston University, I had the opportunity to earn both a culinary arts and baking arts certificate. And to top those off, a certificate in cheese! I hope you find something new to try and can’t wait to talk about it with you.

Latke Season

For Chanukah we fry up a different food each night, with latkes making the most appearances. In addition to a good old fashioned potato and onion latke,  I like to throw in a few new ideas too.  Use inspiration from others, new ideas, and a sense of adventure to keep tweaking your recipe. You might be surprised and delighted by how it turns out!
